25th GRB Post

Hello all! I know you are all glad to see this post as several of you have expressed to me your dissapointment at the last two GRBs not having posts. I will say that one of those missing posts is my fault and I'm very sorry, but the other GRB I was unable to make and that is why there isn't a post.

Saturday we gathered at the keo blacksmith at 2:30 pm, EST. I was very pleased that everyone made an effort to get there at that time even though GRB doesn't start officially until 3pm. While I ordered things everyone else had fun testing their strengths on each other in 1on1s and the usual jokes and friendly chat that makes this guild so much fun .

Bran, Blis, and Ziroth were unable to make today's GRB , so I logged my def for Red Team and Stand, able to make GRB , logged Bran's battle priest. Marce also brought his battle priest and Ash had her um wis priest. We four made up the core of Red Team and I say, I love Ash's um heals, no worries on dying with her around! lol. We had Tamao on as her mage and a lot of fighters, Dawn, Tim, James, and Lily whom I at first thought to have in Red Team because I didn't think we'd have two battle priests and thought we would need their firepower, but later I put them in Blue Team.

Blue Team started out as Jeff, with his UM fighter, Demon, with his archer, and Jas, with her priest.

The first plan was for Red Team and Blue Team to grind through mobs to lvl 30 boss, take her down, and then I would lead Blue Team to lvl 15 section because Jeff didn't know the way, but things didn't go according to plan lol. It started with James's fighter dcing in about the second or third pull, so he had to go back and get his ranger. Meanwhile we pushed on toward the boss so Blue Team could hurry up and get to their section, but, just as we reached the boss, Ash suddenly had a small emergency and had to go afk. Well, Jas certainly couldn't keep me healed alone so we kept tanking until she got back. Then we attacked Kalion, the lvl 30 boss.

However, things didn't go well. Kalion is a tough girl to take even when the def (in this case me) is holding her perfectly, but my silly computer chose this time, of all times (it's usually good as gold lol), to mess up! I don't know if it was lag or what, but it wouldn't hear my buttons half the time as if Kalion had me stunned when she didn't. Unable to hold Kalion perfectly with my pc acting up like so, Kalion got onto Jeff's um fighter and killed him . Well, whether my pc cleared up some at this point of I just figured out how to hold Kalion anyway, Kalion didn't come off me again, but trouble wasn't over yet. Mobs got onto Stand and killed him before I could pull them and I hit my emergency defense spell so Jas could res him. Shortly after Stand was resd, a mob got onto Tim and killed him before I could get hold of that mob either; unfortunately he didn't know not to self res and resd out , but we finally got the bos down and I counted our losses and tried to figure out what in the world to do next!

Blue Team had lost their um fighter and I wasn't sure what they could do next, but the lvl 15 section mobs give more points than the lvl 30 section (as unfair as this sounds, it's true) and I knew we had to get some party there. Pure had logged shortly after the start of GRB and I had been trying to direct him to us up until we took the boss, at that point I was so busy that I saw nothing but the boss until we killed her and Pure had to leave then. So, sorry Pure I was too busy to get you in . James was waiting for us to go back and pick him up, so we started back tanking mobs as we waited for Jeff to jump gatekeepers with his um archer and get into GRB.

When at last we were all together in GRB again. I reordered things. I had Lily, Dawn, Demon, James, Jeff, Jas, and Tamao drop out of the union we were all in and party up together. Then we tanked our way to the end of the fire mobs in the lvl 30 section and I left my party, Stand, Marce, and Ash, to kill a few mobs while I escorted the others to the lvl 15 section. Except for when someone got hung on a tree briefly, we had not trouble getting to the lvl 15 section. Then, because I wasn't completely sure one Danw or Lily's toons (lvl 26 fighters) could take the boss's hits, I held the the lvl 15 boss, Siilvanus, while they killed her. I tell you, I used to think Silvanus was hard, after killing Kalion though, she was a breeze!

Once the boss was down I left Lily tanking for the Blue Team and ran back to my team where Chris had joined us with his ranger. From the position of tanking, it is very hard to see how much trouble the rest of the party gets into, but I know Chris was a very big help in protecting Ash (if she had died that would have been the end of Red Team ) and his sprint buff helped me tank mobs faster which improved our killing speed. With our faster speed and a team that must have just been slaughtering the lvl 15 mobs, we started really racking up the points. Unfortunately over half of GRB was over by that time and we couldn't make up for the lost time, but, considering all the troubles, we did very well.

We got well over 8k points and are now ranked 34th with 147,677 points . We were 33rd, but the competition is very tough at this point and we just weren't able to quite cut it this week, however, we are still close and it won't take too long to be ranked I'm sure! With last weeks 200 Etin from taking both bosses, this weeks 200 Etin for taking both bosses, all the Etin from the repeatable quests (will make another post with more info about this soon), and Etin from other places, we now have a grand total of 2501 Etin!

P.S. Sorry there are no pictures. Bran and little bro are my photographers and neither of them were here. Stand didn't think to take any pics and neither did I lol. If you have any pics feel free to pm Stand for info how to post them here. He can explain it better than me lol.

Yay!!!!!! Finally Zaha's report are back, How I missed this, whenever I get to read them I remember the fun I have in each moment zaha points out here. Well great job guys and a special thanks to James, who made it even at 4:30 am of his time, great effort James, of course I thank everyone for coming too hehe.

Yes they are back I don't get to join in on GRB's much Zaha's post are always so informative that I feel like I was there . btw Zaha did write that lol I just moved it from the old forums lol.

Great job gang! I hate I couldn't be there but I was busy winning a great big juicy 18 ounce ribeye steak ! LOL (At golf of all things!)

Hope to join you again this weekend after such a long time. Thanks to my two sons for keeping Periquin limbered up

Well as always great report Zaha . It's always a pleasure to read them. I just want to say thanks to everyone who participated and made it so fun.

Thank you all, it's always fun to take part in GRB and write the reports. I really am going to miss it all when I go to college .

Yes everyone did do a great job. ^_^ We wish you could all be there that would be a huge GRB bash. LOL Could you imagine the look on DRs face if our entile guild went?
