GRB 10/2/10 Empty GRB 10/2/10

Post by Zahal Mon Oct 04, 2010 6:51 am

Well, I don't promise how regular these reports will be, but I'll make one for our last GRB now anyway and try to follow them with more in the future, I know everyone enjoys them Smile. Not bad practice for me in my writing either, haha Very Happy.

Last week we gathered as usual at the Keo blacksmith. We missed Krois and wish Sols could have made it too; see y'all in future GRBs I hope Very Happy. Thankfully Delfa was there with her lvl 30 hm priest so I didn't have to play double duty with the guild nm priest again Laughing . Stand was still pulling double duty though, bringing his lvl 27 um batte tank and hm priest. Stand's two toons, with Caz on his lvl 30 hm mage and Yosh on his lvl 15 um archer, made up the starting Blue Team for lvl 15 section. Red Team had me, on my lvl 30 hm def, Bran on his lvl 30 hm battle priest, Satan on his lvl 30 hm mage, and Delfa.

Eagerly we entered GRB and Red Team immediately entered and started tanking mobs in their lvl 30 section. Stand started leading Blue Team to lvl 15 section. Halfway to their section, Blue Team was struck with a catastrophe. Thanks to some of window's marvelous updating features (ask Stand for more info, I'm GRB coordinator, not PC Tech! Very Happy), his laptop rebooted on him! Leaving Blue Team without a priest pale . Luckily this was not as great a catastrophe as it could have been since Stand's def is at a lvl it needs little healing now for lvl 15 section; however, he was without dispels, leaving him at the mercy of lvl 15s terrible vines. There was only one thing to be done.

Bran set off for lvl 15 section and lvl 30 continued killing, though we missed his extra firepower and Satan stretched his mage to the max I am sure; great job as always Satan Very Happy. While Bran was making his way to lvl 15, Stand aggroed the boss, Silvanus, along with a pull; scaring Caz, though I have pulled her enough to know that it can be done without a priest if the def is good, which Stand certainly is Very Happy. They soon had her killed and Bran reached lvl 15 section shortly thereafter. He and Caz immediately switched places and Caz started back to join Red Team. I was somewhat concerned with this part, as I don't think we've ever had a squishy back-tracking through lvl 30 section, but Caz proved very careful (unlike he is most days Wink) and made it back to us safely.

Though there was doubt we had enough firepower to handle the lvl 30 boss, Kalion, I knew it would be worth the time to take him down as he is worth approximately 3-4 pulls in lvl 30 section. So, once Caz was there, I led Red Team against Kalion. As usual my def wanted for dex to more easily hold Kalion, but all went well into we had almost killed him. Then, with a bad combination of repeated misses on my def's part and Kalion's stunning spell, I lost aggro and Kalion went for Satan and Caz. Luckily he did not seem inclined to move from where I had aggroed him and Caz was able to run to safety. Satan was not so fortunate, despite Delfa's best attempts at healing, squishiness prevailed and he died. I was then able to regain aggro and Satan waited patiently wile we finished him off for res.

Despite all the 'little' bumps along the way, we did very well in GRB this week, gaining over 14k points cheers . Which ranks us 27th for this week, great job everyone thanks for coming cheers . Hope to see you all this week, Etin is stacking up and I hope we can soon get our guild house bounce Very Happy.

Zahal sunny

P.S. Sorry no pics this week, maybe I'll get that back together in the near future Smile.
